These terms govern your use of the Sidekick Junior app, operated by Major Matters ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Sidekick Junior, you agree to these terms.
Sidekick Junior is an AI-powered chat companion designed for children aged 6-12. It provides age-appropriate conversations on topics like science, nature, history, and creativity. Parents create and manage accounts, set time limits, and review conversations.
Sidekick Junior is not a substitute for parental supervision, professional education, or medical or psychological advice.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account. Child profiles are created and managed by parents. Children aged 6-12 may use Sidekick Junior under parental supervision.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and your child's PIN secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Sidekick Junior uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate responses. AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally contain inaccuracies. Every response passes through a multi-layer safety pipeline, but no system is perfect. AI responses do not constitute professional advice. Parents should review conversations and report any concerning content.
Sidekick Junior employs a 5-layer safety system: client-side filters, input moderation, system prompt enforcement, output moderation, and conversation logging. If content is flagged, parents are notified via push notification and email.
Parents set daily and session time limits. When limits are reached, access is paused. Bonus time can be purchased through in-app purchases.
Bonus time can be purchased through the Apple App Store. All purchases are processed by Apple. Purchases are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy.

Sidekick Junior, its design, code, and content are owned by Major Matters. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
We aim to keep Sidekick Junior available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
Sidekick Junior is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
